How to reach Pilak
Pilak is a small town just 100 kms from Agartala, the capital of Tripura. Pilak is the site of ancient Buddhist ruins and there are still fine examples of sculptors in terracotta here. The carvings here are also if stone and show influences of the various dynasties that ruled over the centuries. Tripura has been growing on the tourist circuit and there are various means to use to get here comfortably.
The train connectivity is limited and travelers to Pilak would be advised to take a bus or a flight to Agartala before proceeding to Pilak.
One would have to fly to Agartala in order to reach Pilak and there are regular flights from Delhi. Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati. There are connecting flights from many other cities as well like Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and even Ranchi.
There is very good road connectivity for those looking to travel by road and one can get luxury buses from Guwahati, Shillong and as well as from Kolkata to reach Agartala and then Pilak.
