How to reach Indasala caves
Indasala Caves are a popular stop for tourists and for Buddhists on the Buddha trail. These caves are in present day Bihar and the caves are famous as The Buddha gave some of his important discourses here and is reputed to have spent time here in meditation as well. There is a new road built by the government in recent times and this has made the trek to these caves much easier.
Rajgir is the nearest railway station and this is connected by regular trains to Patna. Anyone travelling from different parts of India can get to Rajgir through Patna and then further to the Indasala caves.
Again, Patna which is 98 kms from Rajgir is the nearest commercial airport and there are taxis that will take visitors on a round trip to the Indasala Caves.
The best way to get to the Indasala Caves is through Rajgir, there are many buses that ply through Patna, Lucknow and even Varanasi and this is a convenient option for most travelers.
